106 Commercial Road, Bournemouth, Dorset BH2 5LR

Ojo Rojo is a 2 floor venue offering unique experiences with Mexican street-food inspired dishes, and a drinks menu which specialises (not exclusively) in Agave spirits such as Mezcal and Tequila. Each area of the venue is customised in order for you to receive the experience you wish. Keep reading to choose your favourite spot.

We have created a venue that can cater for a variety of preferences and desires. Quite often restaurants that create a healthy menu do not embrace the other enjoyments in life such as alcohol, thinking it as a contradiction. We at Ojo Rojo, instead, celebrate it as a dichotomy. People who like to be healthy, can still enjoy a night out or a splash of their preferred alcohol without being judged. Our Bournemouth venue is designed to embrace this, combining a good night out with healthy eating alternative. This means when you are out on the town, your night can continue with us while you get tasty, healthy food, in an environment that doesn’t feel like you have had to put your drinking on hold

Our more traditionally seated space, The Canopy is our first floor restaurant – so named for its overhead installation. It is a calm, romantic experience designed to allow you to fully appreciate the unique and passion filled food we offer. Whether you are on a date, entertaining loved ones or fancy the quiet side of our eating experience, you owe it to yourself to dine on the top floor of Ojo Rojo.

The Gallery is a relaxed, casual dining experience that incorporates the hustle/bustle of a drinking establishment with great food and comfortable surroundings. It is located on our ground floor and is sub street level, making this a truly unique eating experience. This atmosphere is perfect for pre drinkers, casual diners, daytime cafe-goers or evening diners who wish to be surrounded by the more vivacious night-life environment. The Gallery serves the same food as upstairs but with a little more noise and a lot more spontaneity. Partnered with our Mezcalaria, it contains all you could want for a night out on the town.

The only Mezcal Bar in Bournemouth, The Mezcaleria specialises in your Agave needs. With over 100 great Mezcal and Tequilas and a cocktail menu designed to introduce you to experimental ways to experience this fine, tasty spirit, you would be mad not to start your evening here. Mezcal (and in turn, Tequila) is a very misunderstood drink, often ruined by the cheap variations we try as we are growing up. The Mezcaleria wants to change this and introduce you to the exciting and non-hangover world of Mezcal. But, if it really isn’t your thing, don’t fret, we have plenty of other drinks for you to enjoy.
